If you’re approaching the 5‑year point on your STCW basic safety competencies, this streamlined 2‑day package helps you maintain compliance and stay deployable. The STCW framework references refresher training every five years for basic training elements including personal survival techniques and fire prevention and firefighting. For UK CoC revalidation, the MCA requires updated training certificates issued within the last 5 years (including PST and Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting).
Course fee: £365 (inc. VAT). Optional accommodation: £88/day (add at checkout) – ideal if you’re travelling in for an early start.
What’s included (2 consecutive days):
- Updated Proficiency in Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting – realistic drills covering fire behaviour, hose handling, extinguishing techniques and safe breathing apparatus use, finishing with a live fire exercise.
- Updated Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques (PST) Route 2 – full practical sea‑survival training including abandonment drills, liferaft exercises and survival equipment familiarisation.
Important: this package includes PST Route 2 (non self‑declaration).
