2019 was an incredible year for all of us here at Fire Aid.

The Fire Aid Academy team has further developed its maritime safety courses from its Southampton waterside site, with enhanced STCW courses boasting some of the best educational and current course content, inspiring instructors, and great facilities and equipment to be found in the UK, if not worldwide. Fire Aid Academy delivers these courses to crew working on commercial ships, passenger vessels and cruise liners, workboat operators, and also to those onboard superyacht and exploration vessels.

In 2019 alone, Fire Aid Academy succeeded in securing contracts with European workboat operator, Svitzer, and the UK passenger ferry operator, the Red Funnel Group, complementing the training already in place with Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Condor Ferries and Fred Olsen Cruise lines.

The team at Fire Aid International Training Limited, which delivers dry dock and safety services to shipyards, announced that it has quadrupled its dry dock projects in just three years, which is an incredible feat. Fire Aid International Training Limited works with the likes of CNdM Shipyard, Royal Caribbean, MSC, Costa and Norweigian Cruise Line (NCL), amongst others.

And last but not least, further celebrations were in order when MD and head of dry dock operations, Chris and Aimee, who manages Fire Aid Academy, tied the knot during the summer!

Here’s to another fantastic year in 2020…
