Due to expansion and having secured a contract with a leading cruise line operator, Fire Aid International Training Ltd has an exciting vacancy to complement the existing fire safety team, for an Onboard Fire Safety Supervisor. The Onboard Fire Safety Supervisor will work globally on cruise ships which are berthed in shipyards, whilst undertaking extensive refurbishment during dry dock.The Onboard Fire Safety Supervisor will be required to carry out risk assessments of various areas on the ship and supervise a team of fire watch personnel. The successful candidate will have a background and experience in fire fighting, preferably in the UK fire services. The individual should also demonstrate an understanding of fire risk assessments, although no formal risk assessment qualification is required.A knowledge of ships would be desirable, however is not essential. The Onboard Fire Safety Supervisor must be able to work with a team of supervisors and be prepared to work away from home for a number of weeks at a time.
