First Aid at Work Requalification
The requalification course is an intensive course designed for people whose certificate is still in date. The course is certificated and meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations. You are very welcome to attend our training centre, or if you’d prefer our trainers can deliver this course at your premises.
Prerequisites
An in date First Aid at Work certificate.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
Candidates need a basic command of English (Defined as Level 2).
Course Information
Our classroom based two-day requalification in First Aid at Work (R-FAW) course conforms with HSE guidance and will provide a comprehensive set of theory and practical skills needed by first aiders to requalify their first aid at work certification.
The course has a blend on theoretical knowledge through lectures and group working along with practical skills through scenario-based exercises.
Over the two days the learner will cover:
- Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations), Managing an
emergency, Communication, and casualty care - Unresponsive adult, Basic life support, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), with AED
- Allergic reaction
- Asthma, Chest pains, Shock, Seizures, Stroke
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries, Spinal injuries, Head injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Minor and severe bleeding
- Choking adult
- Eye injuries
- Fainting
- Low blood sugar
- Poisoning
